Initial time delay

Initial time delay is the delay in the system you are measuring (including all delays, e.g. the sound card and the distance from the loudspeaker to the microphone). If you want to find the distance from the loudspeaker to the microphone (time of flight) you have to subtract the delay of the sound card. The best way of doing this is to use the measurement system correction feature.
