If the generator is not turned on , no output signal will be generated
from WinMLS. You need to select what type of input signal to be measured from
the two choices below
If Stationary is selected, the dialog will look like below.
If Transient is selected and the button is clicked, the
Various section will look like below.
If is
checked, WinMLS will wait until the input level exceeds the trigger level (in
this example –30 dBFs, which is 30 dB below
digital clipping). When the signal exceeds this level, the signal will be
recorded and the length is given by the Length of recorded data
setting.
The pre-trigger duration determines how many milliseconds
to be included in the measurement before the trigger level was exceeded.
