How to change the curve type?

When installing WinMLS, the default curve type is set in Plot->Plot Advanced Settings… as shown in the figure below.

To change the curve type without changing the default curve type, in Plot->Chart Settings for Active Plot..., click on to. For an explanation see the documentation under Plot->Plot Advanced Settings….
